We are thrilled to announce that “Ahora Vuelvo,” our second horror short film, kicked off the prestigious SITGES – International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia 2023!

Following the success of “La Inquilina” in 2021, we were incredibly proud and excited to once again have the honor of opening this esteemed festival with our latest offering.

“Ahora Vuelvo” told the spine-chilling story of María, a seven-year-old girl who found herself alone at home while her mother stepped out to buy dinner. As the hours passed and night fell, Maria’s solitude was interrupted by a mysterious knock at the door, leaving her questioning whether it was her mother or something far more sinister.

The 56th edition of the Festival de Cine Fantástico de Sitges commenced on Thursday, October 5th, with a spectacular opening ceremony. Lee Films had the privilege of inaugurating the festival for the second time with “Ahora Vuelvo,” which was featured in the Official Fantàstic Competition Section.

Audiences were captivated by the film’s 12 minutes of unsettling plot twists, masterful suspense, and chilling atmosphere – hallmarks of Lee Films’ signature style. Leading the cast was the talented Belén Cuesta, known for her versatility and acclaimed performances in popular films and series such as “La llamada,” “Paquita Salas,” and “La casa de papel.” Alongside her was Anastasia Russo, a rising star at just 12 years old, who delivered a standout performance.

Our success at Sitges followed our triumphant participation in the previous edition of the festival, where we opened the 54th edition with “La Inquilina.”
