In August 2024, the Fantasia International Film Festival, now in its 28th edition, honored the Spanish horror short film “Ahora Vuelvo” with the award for Best Cinematography. This recognition underscores the film’s exceptional visual storytelling and technical prowess.

Directed by Lucas Paulino and Gabe Ibañez, “Ahora Vuelvo” and produced by Lee which is known for its commitment to creating high-quality, genre-defining content.

“Ahora Vuelvo” runs for 13 minutes and delves into a suspenseful narrative where Maria, a 7-year-old girl, is left alone at home while her mother goes out for dinner shopping. As night falls and the waiting period extends, Maria is left uncertain when a knock at the door raises doubts about whether her mother has returned.

Starring an epic cast with Belén Cuesta and Anastasia Russo, the film’s atmosphere of tension and mystery is skillfully captured through its cinematography, which played a significant role in the film’s success at the festival.
