The short film “Ahora Vuelvo”, directed by Gabe Ibáñez and Lucas Paulino, has achieved 34 selections and awards, and now has been nominated for Best Fiction Short Film at the 39th Goya Awards, the most prestigious accolades in Spanish cinema.

This psychological thriller follows María, a 7-year-old girl who is left alone at home while her mother goes out for a quick errand. As the evening stretches on, an unsettling knock at the door leaves María questioning whether it’s truly her mother—or something far more sinister.

“Ahora Vuelvo” has been praised for its masterful use of sound and atmosphere, creating a tense, immersive experience that plays on the deep fears of isolation and the unknown. Starring Belén Cuesta and Anastasia Russo, the short delves into childhood fears and the terror of uncertainty.

We are incredibly proud of this project, which has been recognized not only by the Goya Awards but also by key festivals like Sitges.

The nomination is a testament to the hard work, passion, and talent of everyone involved, and we are excited to see where this journey leads as “Ahora Vuelvo” continues to captivate audiences and critics alike.
